A year ago, jessie beier and I did a small residency at Errant Sound in Berlin, which resulted in the sound installation / performance The Feedback Organ. We recorded the performance and finally released it on Bandcamp (see: https://phasecommons.bandcamp.com/track/the-feedback-organ ). The piece is long, sometimes heavy and noisy, sometimes weird and ethereal.

In one week, I’ll be leaving to join jessie in Montréal to do a sequel for The Feedback Organ at the gallery Produit Rien. We’ll have one full week to dismantle and rebuild this machine made of concrete sounds and ghosts. We’ll see what comes out of it.

phasecommons, the title of that post, is also the moniker under which we released the first iteration and under which we will keep releasing any sonic material we make in collaboration. Only on Bandcamp for now, it works like a repository of sonic traces. A shared journal.

Many thanks to Laura Mello and Errant Sound (Berlin) for hosting us last year! And also many thanks to Catlin W. Kuzyk for the mastering and Reza Sedighian for the cover art!
